Boat is a 1975 Starcraft SuperSport 16. I decided to do something this summer about the dull, chalky paint and terrible carpet. I also knew that some plywood decking was rotten. Both jobs were more work than I was expecting! Haha. Stripping & sanding off the old paint was a bear, and the stuff under the carpet was in worse shape than I imagined, but I can happily say that all is done.

It's the most work I ever did on this boat, and for a rookie, I think the results are in the acceptable range.

Nice Job! Looks like a new boat.

Mine is a jon with a factory aluminum floor over the ribs , I ended up sanding the glue off the floor and replaced the missing rivets into the ribs before using the self etching primer and Rustoleum top coat. I can sympathize over the amount of work it took to re-paint yours

I love the video of the bow cutting through the water. Yesterday I asked my youngest son to lean over the front to get the video. I even offered to hold onto his ankles, but he still refused. :?

Haha. Camera zip-tied to a mop handle. Costs less than having a kid!

Now days they have these things called selfie sticks, LOL. Zip tying still a good idea though.

Many thanks to all who saw my photos and added supportive words. It's great hearing from people who appreciate the hours and sweat it takes to keep a thing of quality in presentable condition.

And here's the capper to my project, I did it yesterday: sand down the rusty spots on that EYESORE of a trailer, give it a nice coat of primer and proper spray-painting! Two rattle cans of Rustoleum metallic blue and some reflective strips. It looks every bit like a front yard paint job, but I love it!
