Removed the stock 21 gallon fuel tank. Replacing with a 6 gallon tank. For 3 reasons - 1. I now have a 25hp on the boat, had a 50hp. 2. To reduce weight. 3. Put all three batteries in rear of boat. Two for the trolling motor, one for crank and accessories.
I have enough weight on the bow.
How would you arrange everything? Their is a possibility (slim) of adding another, or upsizing the crank battery. I'm working on upgrading electronics. My dream is to have two SI units, bow and console.
Has anyone made an adapter to go from the portable tank to existing fuel fill/cap?
Also, what would be a fair price to ask for the old tank? It's plastic.

Just my opinion, but...I wouldn't sell that 21-gallon tank anytime soon. Many people, including me, have had issues with the new EPA tanks. Mostly with the lack of venting. Some people have simply added new caps and that worked.

Run the new tank a few times before you sell the old tank. Anyhow, you'll probably get more $$$ for any boat item in early Spring than you will in the middle of Winter.
