So is it the post that's wobbly in the base, or is the whole base wobbly? What type of post? Have you tried a different post or a new one?

The post pin wobbles in the base and the seat post wobbles in the post top. Straight post no threads I put some black elect tape at the top of the top of the bottom pin and some at the top of the seat pin and it helped. Have not tried a new post

you can buy replacement bushings.i cant remember what site i saw them on.maybe greatlakesskipper.i had 6 on my last boat but i just moved them around when they wore.amazon has them.

I agree, sounds like the plastic bushings are worn.
That's good to know that you can just buy the replacement bushings. I figured you'd be forced to buy all new mounts and posts...because manufacturers like money. :roll:

Thanks my bushings are bronze and I think i found some local at tractor supply
