Good evening. I am in the process of refreshing a Fisher 15 topper. I would like to drill holes on the benches to run tubes through for rod storage. Has anyone done this? Any reason not too? Foam in the bench. Will use a hole saw.

Thank you!

I did it on a canoe I made where I made a bench seat I put in rod holder tubes but, pretty much only the rod tips where in the tubes, it is certainly doable, how much of a hassle will it be to put the rods into the tubes each time you want to get one out. I just put my rod holder on top of the seat over on one side of the boat on my jon.
