Hey everyone. I have an old 12' aluminum shallow V boat, I'd like to dampen my floor so that its a little more quiet. I have some 1/2" foam rubber mats from HF, and I was wondering what would be the best method to attach them to the aluminum.

Thanks.

I am not sure that I would bother attaching them. If the will lay in the bottom they will do the sound dampening job just fine. Of course, driving on the highway at 70- mph may get them blown out.

If you must glue them down, there are all sorts of carpet adhesives that guys have used. I haven't done it so I don't have a good name for you. Sorry.

i did it on my 1648 and my new rig. i used 2 face carpet tape on edges and some in the middle. also have used 3m 77 sparay. the bottom floor i taped together on the backside so it was one piece. i just laid it in. my hear and seats kept it in
