Aquiring my fathers boat. '57 Duracraft. It has been in family 30+ yrs, but I haven't seen boat in person for 20 yrs. Hope to get it back like it was originally. Trying to go by memory on how it was painted and i think it was blue and white like in this add for '58 sportsman models. Will most likely strip it down to bare and start over. Also needs new trailer built. Been finding little bits online and still looking for good interior shots of how original seats would have been. I think the hardest part to find will be the side emblems. Found the clearest pic so far on this tail fin model with hopes to maybe use it to have them made.

Hope to get started next year. Meanwhile will keep rounding up photos and bits to get a plan of attack.

Thanks for any tips and pics you can share to help with this project. Spent many days fishing with dad in this boat and it deserves a new life.

Probably be able to get emblems cut out of stainless on a waterjet. Kid at work does stuff like that on the side. In Ontario but could probably ship if you don’t find anything else.
