I'm considering moving my bow mount troller to the stern. It'll be off the center line which will affect the tracking. Other than that, any down side to moving it to the transom? I would suspect it will be a bit less efficient too.

Why? A bow mount has way better boat control

Trolling motors are more effective pulling than pushing. But if it's not a real heavy boat it will be fine. I used a transom mount for a few years off the side of my main motor, it doesn't really track that bad. But definitely more efficient to pull than push. Plus a foot control seems to be easier to use when you can see the head.
