I picked this 1997 model up a few weeks ago, and need some advise on storage. The front deck has an opening, but that’s the only storage I have. I like using tackle trays as opposed to tackle boxes, but I have no place to put them. I also want a dry area to put life jackets, and such.

I also don’t want to give up any floor space with bins, and tackle boxes. The rear deck has mostly foam underneath so no storage there, except where the batteries oil res and gas can go.

Would cutting the rear deck where your legs go, and digging out foam be a easy task? I’d like to put a tack tray there. I know I can put dry storage up front with a hatch and a liner. The tackle try part seems to be a pain.

It would be nice if I could find something that could go on the front of the console that was more of an external holder, but my searches are coming up empty for anything that holds more than 2 trays. If anybody has any suggestions on how this could be done it would be a great help!

Thanks
Shelton

Easy solution.
Install storage netting on the inside walls of the boat, deck, and console

You wouldn't have to drill into the boat. Screw the netting into PVC board. Then Lexel the PVC board to boat and/or to coolers. Works great.

The netting I used was from the Wmart auto section designed for Truck/SUV storage
Might give you some ideas

...and digging out foam...

I am not a fan of cutting out foam. It is there for a reason. I do like 3770 trays, and have found that a few of these racks work good. I have 2 by the step, and one up front next to my forward sonar.

Who did you buy those from? I’ve seen them somewhere, but I can’t remember which site.
