I remember when I was a kid and made a RR layout. No money. Little current. Low voltages. This idea would have worked great for that application.

Guess I shouldn't have posted it on a boating site.
 
Ha, I've used those connectors for all sorts of things over the years. No sense in re-inventing the wheel when you are doing casual wiring. I always seem to have a couple of them around anyhow.
