If bought a 14” utility. Owner had it listed as a 1955 Lowe which is impossible since Lowe didn’t manufacture then.
Did not have a proper HIN. Did have a plate with 45-9171-P.

I haven’t been able to find anything similar to it. The seats and transom are wood covered.
Any ideas?

Ok so my boat has longitudinal keelsons. From what I’m finding Alumacraft is the only one who did that in the past. Any ideas?

do you have the title info? registration numbers? That's where I would start looking, you might have to do a title search using the existing registration numbers (even if they are expired) and go from there. That should have the year and make of the boat. Another would be to start calling manufacturers with the number you do have and hopefully they either have a record, or can steer you in a direction of who does.

I have nothing other than incorrect info from previous registration. My keelsons are inside not out.

post more pics, especially bow plate, stern corners, etc.. Looks similar to Cadillac but I'd have to see inside bottom to get a better call.

@ericman here’s more pics

Hard to tell because it looks like it was stripped and rebuilt several times... but my guess would be a 1985 Lowe or similar... ? Lowe looks right... 1955 no way... 70's or 80's...

Does it look like this ?

Sort of but not really. Mines got the splash chine and reverse chine. Also the transom is more 90° than slopped

The "71" in the serial number might be the year. After 1971 is when HIN's came about.
