Purchased this 16' boat a few weeks back.

There is no plate on the transom or anything otherwise with which to identify it but the previous owner said he thinks it was a Sears boat.

I believe there was a third bench toward the bow which has presumably long since been removed.

I'd like to better be able to identify it so that I can get some specs and figure out if the transom (which will need some repair) would be able to support a Honda BF 30 in the near future.

Thanks very much.

Warren

What helps ID an old boat are pictures of the bow cap, corner caps and knee braces.
What I can see of the knee brace looks like a Starcraft. It may well have been sold at Sears under one of the Sears brand names.
I have a Wards Sea King made be Delhi which was part of StarCraft.

I take it the star on the transom corner cap may be a giveaway as to the identity of the boat?

You might be able to pin it down better to an exact year and model by studying the various measurement specs.

I showed that picture because it shows the key Lonestar elements like star, nose cap and seat risers...

I'd suggest taking a tape measure and finding the exact length of your boat.... then go to those spec charts and find any boats that match.... then compare widths... etc... you should find it that way...
