Like for trailering or motoring in big water? I never have before but I'm considering it for my new trolling motor.

If you do, let me know which one. I'm considering a Ram Mount version.

Yes, I use the Minnkota bow support. Powerdrive V2 - 70 lbs

I use a extension post in a bow mounted rod holder bracket during trailing.

I really dont see the need for trailering with a bow mount motor as the front of the trailer is the smoothest traveling part of the trailer.

In heavy surf mabye, but even then it seems like a gimmick as the head of the trolling motor is nearly weightless compared to how much abuse the shaft is designed to take.
