I was cutting up a cutting board to get a transducer mounting plate for the transom. That lead to jbwelding together a cutting board to fit in the oar lock hole thingie. It is self draining. No more shad guts in the bottom of the boat.

I really like this idea and I have a couple unused oarlock sockets. It's kicked off a lot of thinking about what those can be used for!
Although I'm envisioning a wake hitting me and sending the thing spinning in the socket, spraying bait juice everywhere.
 
Lol. Bait juice.

I put the bolt toward the front of center so it is weighted toward the outside of the boat. Then I had a picture in my head kinda like yours. Lol. I then added the fingers to keep it from spinning.
