Simple leak help!

I found what I thought was a veerryyy slow leak. Thankfully, its not the bottom of the boat, but where the bolts for the transom are. I noticed every time water splashes those spots that there are bolts, I can see a little water trickle down. How do I fix it? Thanks!

Put some silicone around those bolts.

take the bolt out ( if possible) and add rubber washers

Take the bolts out and add 3M 5200 marine sealant around the holes.It can be purchased at box mart and home improvement centers.

bingo, just make sure its not a bolt you ever need to take out again. You know its strong stuff when the recommended usage is securing decking down. I call it "white death" because once it sets up you cant get it off.
