flat decking for the first time

Hi i am getting ready to start my flat deck project for my 12 ft jon boat and i had a few questions:

Also if anyone had any pics of the frames they've built for their jon boat that would be great so i could get some ideas

1. How would i go about securing the frame to the benches of the boat

Be careful how high you build the decks.It could become top heavy and flip easily.

I used Ridig Ties from Home Depot to add my deck. Your local hardware store will usually carry this type of tie for 2 x 2's. Hopefully these pics will help.
