Installation if a swivel seat mount and post required cutting a hole in the direct center of the back bench. In order to secure the mount, you will have to cut an access panel in the back of the bench, and remove some foam. I got this mount and swivel from walmart. next installation will be a front pedestal seat.

I have a 3/4" piece of carpeted ply attached to my rear bench, cut the hole a little wider than the pin, then used #14 3" self tapping lag bolts to hold it all down - works like a top and there's no wiggle

sorry, im uploading the pics now. as for selftapping screws, i opted for this way for extra support. g3 expects a seatpost to be installed, because when i we cut through the top, our measurements were accurate. we knew this because there is a wood plate under the aluminum with a hole already in it for a post. thatway. the bolts could have more support when you tighten them up.

Here is a good pic of the seat mount, which is very sturdy.
