hi all i am new to this forum glad to there other folks out there that like to pimp there boats too. i do alot of fly fiishing so i put a raised deck on my 12' alumacraft 1236 its only 3/4" higher than the bench seats but its so tippy that i dont feel safe in it on big water. i was just wondering if anybody has made the same mistake and how much lower they moved it so that the boat wasnt quite so tippy. any opinion would be helpful. thanks

Yep a 36 inch floor is to narrow to deck high.Try lowering the decks to the bottom of the benches, or half way down, if your benches go all the way to the floor.Don't feel bad.You aren't the first to build one that's tippy. You're in good hands here.
