If I have a boat in Ohio that the license plate sticker has expired on, Is there a way that I can pull it to Illinois for the new owner without having to pay for a new sticker for one day of driving? The boat will be registered to the new owner when it arrives IL. Thanks

Get the guy you are selling it to to sign a sales agreement & have it with you. Odds are they wont mess with you.

At the local DMV here, all you need is the VIN number and you can get a one way tag (it's actually a peice of paper.) So that way you are legal to tow it for the new owner. The cost here is $5.00. Give them a call and see what they say.
CarlF is probably right, unless you get the hard nosed officer that pulls you over. But if you don't want to risk it, contact the DMV.
