I dont know if anyone herd or saw the new bassmaster magazine, but Mark Menendez won a bassmaster elite series tourny for 100,000 prize out of a G3 tin boat : )

It's not the boat.It's the gear and the knowledge of how to use it.I lack the knowledge compared to the pros.

I think he totaled the boat in the process. Something about them dropping the water on him when he was past a REAL shallow section, and him basically having to power his boat over land to get out.

I know its not all about the boat, I just thought it was awsome he used a tin boat. Apparently from the pics on bassmaster.com a few other tin boats where entered...tryin to get back into the really shallow spots.

in this case it was the boat.... without the tin boat he would never have gotten to the location he fished...
