i have a small leak coming in through my plug hole. i fished today for 3 hours and it just leaked enough to get my gear onthe floor wet. i bought a new plug a couple days ago thinking this would fix it. does anyone have any ideas on how i fould fix it?
 
Is it coming in past the plug or around the housing where the plug goes?
If it's coming in past the plug try wetting the plug before you put it in. I know that sounds silly, but try it and see if it helps.
 
If it's leaking around the plug bung just seal it with 3M 5200.If the rubber plug is hard,I have soaked mine in motor oil for a half hour and it seems to soften it up.Just don't forget to wipe it up really well.
