FNG from the great state of Texas

Hey guys, I have been looking for a forum exactly like this for about a 6 months now, and I have been sneakin around for the past week or so. I like what I see! I have a 1977 Alumacraft 1436 with 31 lb thrust trolling motor and a 1983 30 hp Mariner (tiller) that I bought back in Feb. 2009. It came with a little front deck mounted already, but It isn't what I like exactly. I will be modifying big time. So hopefully I can start on it soon and I can add to ya'lls great list and hopefully I contribute to this forum in the most positive matter. I am a family man with a beautiful wife (of almost 7 yrs), a 5 yr old daughter, and a 7 mo. son, and they fullfill my day each and every day. So my mod may end up taking a lot longer than most.

Welcome! i have a 15 hp on my 1436 and it will push it in the low 20's, how fast will a 30 push it? I bet u zip around the lake!

Its fast I'm guessing in the 30's when I'm running solo.... I get alot of "those looks" when I punch it =P~
