Has anyone tried pulling a towable with a 14' Jon boat? I have a 14' with a 25hp motor it seems fast enough.

No, but I've pulled a duck blind built out of a 24' pontoon boat (so heavy when finished that it just about broke the trailer) with a 1442 / 18 hp and it went plenty fast enough.
