Thanks for joining!

Great looking boat!

How is that front bench? Does it support a person?

What sort of trouble are you having with the motor?

Nice ride. What issues are you having with the motor? It appears to be built by Eska.It maybe stickered as Ted Williams,Sears,Gamefisher, and of course Eska.

Yes, the first two benches do support a person. Im thinking about giving it some support though on the front. My motor just wont start is the problem. It started the other night but now it wont start since the carb bowl got flooded. Im thinking about just getting it proffesionally serviced. Any ideas on how to support that front bench with the chair on it?

You probably wont be able to find someone to work on that motor, too old and not a mainstream brand. Most small outboards are easy to work on though, the only problem well be if you can get parts, if it was an old Evenrude or Johnson or other OMC, parts are easily available.

The first thing I would do is test for spark, if you don't get any check the plug, plug wire, clean and reset the points and check if the coil is cracked, if it is cracked you well have to find a new one. Then pull the carb off and blast then heck out of it with a can of spray carb cleaner, open the float bowl up and spray that out and inspect the float, if it is cork and not all rotted away, the protective coating is probably shot and needs to be resealed or replaced, if the float isn't floating properly it would cause it to flood. And finally figure out where the impeller is and replace it if needed.

Thanks for the help! We were able to get it started for about 15 seconds until the carb bowl started to flood. and then today, it won't start at all. Not sure if it is because the carb bowl was flooded, but everything seems to be in o.k condition. Im guessing cleaning it out will hopefully fix the problem?
