Choosing to protect your boat and motor with a Carver cover is one of your best decisions yet.

Now keeping that cover supported is the second best decision you have made for your boat!

Boat Covers Direct offers a “Y” strap support system by Carver Industries to keep your cover lifted from bow to stern with one simple inexpensive accessory.

This system consists of a single adjustable pole in the center with a 40’ strap to extend towards the front of the boat and two 20’ rear straps to hook to the rear hooks. Easy-to-follow instructions are provided on our website, and we include a copy with each order.

The support system prevents water from pooling on the cover by keeping the cover lifted throughout the entire length of the boat. The system is called a y strap because of the shape the straps make under the cover.

A single system is suitable for boats up to 28’ in length. 2 support systems can be joined together easily for larger boats.

Thanks for responding to our post! Sorry for the delay in my response, but I never received a notification that you had replied to the post.

In any case, we are happy to answer your questions about the supports. The supports are mainly intended to allow water to run off the cover so it is not allowed to pool. If you have snow or ice, we would recommend pushing that off the cover so it is not able to pile up and create large loads.

Sincerely
Shannon with Boat Covers Direct
