Yeah, we are pretty lucky around here. We have all the typical fishing you might find in the US midwest including largemouth bass, crappie, catfish etc. However, we also have the great lakes and tributaries which provide opportunities to fish for several different species of salmon, steelhead, brown trout, brook trout etc.

I caught my first salmon last year and am now totally addicted to it. Hardest fighting fish I have every caught, the best part is that I caught it about 15 minutes from my home in the middle of the 5th largest city in North America!
 
NOTHING LIKE A 12 LB STEELIE ON 8 LB TEST IN A 8 FT WIDE CREEK TO GET THE BLOOD PUMPING, THE MOST CHAOTIC/MEMORABLE FISH OF MY FISHING CAREER TO DATE!!!
