Thanks, Jim. It's a Canon Rebel XTi with a 28-135 IS lens running wide open. Tripod is a must for fireworks shots. These were all shot with a shutter speed somewhere between 5-10 seconds and an aperture of between f/6 and about f/13.

I don't know about up your way, Addict, but I know Meridian had a show, Jackson did, Canton had a hot air balloon festival, Vicksburg was supposed to have a show over the river, but it got cancelled, so we went to Natchez instead. I'm pretty sure Hattiesburg and Laurel both had shows as well.

No, they aren't banned, every town around this part of the state does a 4th of July and New Years fireworks show.
