Got my new camera and tried to post some pics of my boat.It says that they are to big to post?????????I would greatly appreciate the help if someone could let me know how to do this

open up an account on photobucket and host them there.

The easiest way is to open a free photobucket account (or any online picture hosting place). When uploading, make sure the size of the picture is no wider than 800. The limit here is 800 wide so people do not have to scroll right and left to view them.
Or resize them online here:
https://www.picresize.com/
Then save them and upload them as you would normally.
The best size in my opinion is 600 wide.

What kind of camera you get? Some have a setting which allows you to take pictures in diffrent sizes/formats
