Does anybody ever converted a gas motor to electric?
I know people build electric motor with dc motors (golf cart, Etek etc) on top of regular motor drive shaft/lower unit.
I need suggestion/input/pictures about how to do it (especially the electri wiring/circuit.

I didn't make it but my boat came with both 20hp gas and a home made 48 volt "golf cart" motor. I have all the wiring but have yet to figure out how to hook it up. I found some wiring diagrams on line but most of it isn't labeled. I'll try and post some pics.

Would be also great if you can post pics of the connection between the drive shaft of the outboard and the shaft of the golf cart.
 
I'll see what I can do. It is similar to the connection between a log splitter motor and hydrolic pump.
