Old mercury what year?

A friend has an old mercury 7.5 outboard. Its needs a good amount of electrical work as its all rotten. The engine cover says thunderbolt ign. The only other marking was on the vin plate on the side of the engine, after cleaning it and scrubbing the holy ish out of it I uncovered a serial number 3373069. I searched and can't seem to get any info on the web I will call around and get some insight from a local dealer or two. I was hoping other might be able to share some knowledge and or experience with this little motor?

i have a 1971 7.5 merc and it was a bear finding a prop that would fit it, just found a used 2 blade for it today. what kind of prop does that one have and what pitch? i went from 6 to 9
