My motor is running great. However, I have noticed that I really need to crank (i.e. twist) and hold the throttle handle to keep it running at top speed. If I take my hand off the thorttle, or loosen my grip, the throttle back off. Is there any way I can adjust the throttle so that it stays open without me having to keep constant pressure on it?

I think it is supposed to be that way. If something were to happen and you became unable to operate the motor, you would not want to go barreling into something at full speed. Are you wanting the motor to keep wide open throttle when you release the tiller?

Johnson/evinrude have a clamp type deal for the twist throttle called a throttle friction kit, work pretty good
