Hey everyone. This is my very first post. I have a 14 foot Ouichita that i am decking and going to start fishing out of. I have a trolling motor for the back, and one for the front. I actually scored a deal on a motor for it this weekend though. Whilst crusing the Atlanta craigslist, I found "Boat Motor - $200"
I clicked on it and come to find out, it was a Honda 4 Stroke 7.5 horsepower. It's a long shaft, really wanted a short, but for $200, I couldn't pass it up. Called the guy and went and picked it up. Cranked on second pull. Ran good.
Now my question is, how can I find out the year on it? He said he thinks it's a late 90's model, but I would like to know for sure so I can order a new prop and prop cap for it. I am also going to clean it up really good, and re-paint it and get some new decals. I am happy with my find, just want to learn a little more about it.
