i have a 92 johnson 40 hp and there is a lever on the side that you flip to let the motor go up and down. When i bought it it wasn't on there so i bought a new one put it on myself and was working on casting becks and when i went to let motor down it didn't work. So i took it off and used a flat tip to see if the thing would work like the and it did. So my ? is why won't the cable work?
