Hey guys,

Ive been searching for the year and horsepower of my outboard engine. The serial number is OC151794. The owner said a 25 hp but im not sure at this point it seems like it though. I just need to get a manual for it because they messed with it.

Lots of Mercury experts there. Pappy on this board is a great general resource for outboards and if I'm not mistaken he's a Johnson/Evinrude expert. But I don't think we have any Mercury experts. The fellas at BBC boards can answer your questions I'm sure.

I posted on BBCboards.net already and am hoping for a response fairly soon. Im on tinboats more since im doing my rebuild of my john boat as well.

Try oldmercs.com. They carry parts and kits for mercuries from 1940 and up. They even have a visual identification guide to the old motors. Hope that helps.
