fuel connector

I need a new fuel connector for my 1993 mercury 15 hp. I need the connector that attaches the fuel hose to the motor. All the ones i'm finding in local stores say for 1998 and up year models and i'm not seeing the year model on the various websites i've been do. The 98 and newer ones i'm finding look just like the one I have now, so I'm guessing they will fit. Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in the 98 and newer ones and the older version that I would actually need?
