So I get finished working on my little 7.5, and get ready to rebuild the carb on my evinrude 40. I bought this motor from a guy who said he worked on boats he had a few laying around the shop. The motor I bought he said that he had rebuilt the carb and tuned up the motor so I think cool.

Well any way I get ready to take off the starter and this is what I see (see pic), I don't think that nut will just come off not enough room. So I guess that I really need to go over the entire motor real good.

Well I got the carb on, bolted everything onto the stand and started her up seems to run ok but I'm new to boat and motors. I'm guessing that is an exhaust port at the back, is there suppose to be that much water coming out. I will have to rebuild the fuel pump it was leaking. I posted a link to a small video of it running at least i think i posted it.
