Hi All i posted this same question early this am but did not see it so if i sent it teice sorry.
Here is my problem my johnson 10 hp qd16 still will nnot start.
what i have replaced at this time
plugs points condenso coil
set points at 20 comp 80 even I get a burp every now and then
I also rebuilt the pressure tank as well.
I need to get this to ruun please please help
I live in indianaplis in can not find a good shop with great labor cost most are 85 an hour mim 1hr if some of you vets out their no of this place please tell me

Hey Fish'

Did you verify you have spark from both plugz......if so, you have fire....

Did you verify you have air....if you are breathing good to go....(not being flip, it is troubleshooting 101)

So, if you have those, all you need is metered fuel....carb....check for leaks (air and fuel), and fuel flow thru fuel pump, etc...

I am currently fighting the same battle, and plan to rebuild my carb and fuel pump....

Take a spray bottle and spray some of your fuel/oil mix into the throat of the carb and try it. It just takes a little bit so do not spray a lot into it. If it fires after doing that you may want to get the carb cleaned and try it again. Do NOT use starting fluid to check for fuel issues!
