I had a weird issue while on the river the other day. I have a 1985 Johnson 9.9. I was traveling against the current when the motor began to act like it was running out of fuel while it was on plane. It started doing this after about 30 mins of running perfect on plane. I pumped the primer bulb and the engine came back and ran fine for another 15 mins then same thing. I turned around and began to run with the current. At wide open it never even stuttered. Can anyone shed any light? Is this a fuel pump problem? I just thought it was strange that it only acted up while against the current. Thanks

Eric
