At wot after breaking my motor in, my 1648 with 25hp 4s merc porpoises a little.

2 trolling motor batteries up front, one cranking battery in back with tank in back, tiller handle.

Do I need to move the tilt pin in towards transom or out towards motor?

Jeff

Where is ur cab plate in relation to notion of boat? It should ne level. I had to raise my motor up, 4". 20 HP long mercy. On a grizzly 1448. Solved my porpoising issue.

cav plate is right at the bottom of boat! No issues there! Thanks, I thought it needed to be moved 1 hole in, but wanted to ask anyways! Will this affect top speed as well? Seemed a little slow to me but what do I know. Will gps next time out.

Jeff

Don't know what kind of boat; but I think that 1648 might rate a 40 if you are looking for more speed. Good Luck!

Yes mine is rated for a 40 but not really looking for more speed just inquiring. I'm not a speed demon
