The trigger wire cover has melted a little, not to the point that it reached the inner wires. I know the best thing to do is just replace the trigger. But as a temp fix do you think it would be ok to re-wrap the wire for now until I get the trigger swapped out?

How about a little more information??? Like what engine are we talking about, was the engine overheated, is the trigger still operational? If still operational then put some shrink tube over it and call it a day. If the engine was overheated I would start concentrating my efforts on other damage and making sure the cooling system is up to the task.

Yes the motor overheated due to a faulty water pump and the cooling issues are being worked on. Im going to test the trigger and if its still working Ill just shrink wrap it. Thanks
