Is the motor in the picture a short shaft? I have no model number.

Have not seen motor yet, buddy picked it up.

Motor is not locked up, looked to gas line and would not fire. Motor was last run last year. It is a 1972 (from what I was told).

Anyone have any links or information about how to go about troubleshooting this thing?

Try priming the carbs with a squirt bottle or something then go from there.

I picked up two outboards that sat for 20 years and they both fired up after a few pulls. One kept dying off and on. The other just ran and ran like new!

Gas, air and spark. Good luck.

By priming the carbs Nomowork doesn't mean starting fluid, use a normal mix ratio of gas to oil. People do more damage than good using ether or starting fluid, there is no lubricant in either of the 2.
