I'm wanting to replace the impeller for the water pump this winter on my 1980 Mercury 25 HP outboard engine. My question is this: should I buy the impeller kit that includes the gaskets and o-ring(s) or will just the impeller itself be all I really need to purchase?
I've never had it replaced since I've owned the engine, which is about 16 years! :roll:
