Just saw an add in our local Kiji in Edmonton Alberta Canada,I had never seen an volvo outboard motor, 14 horsepower ??was quite surprised,didnt know that they made outboard motors with the volvo name anyone know anything about these,just awful curious about them thats all.....
 
The only time I see Volvo Penta motor mentioned around here it is for an inboard outboard...
 
Yep, they were made for several years and were apparently quite a nice running engine. Typical Swedish manufacturing. Nice castings, a little over-engineered, and a little heavier than most of its peers. Would like to find one down here in nice condition to add to the collection.
