Just purchased 2005 merc 60/40 jet 2stroke. I have been having issues with fuel supply, and after doing several things I am leaning towards a carb rebuild. While researching for a carb rebuild, I came across this you tube video, of a dude, running a concentrated carb/gas solution, to clean out his carbs? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtvKZyxbVdg&feature=related

Has anyone tried this? Does this work?

Cleaners can help when you have slight varnish problems with your carbs, but they are not a mechanic in a can and they can't preform miracles. If your motor runs, but you notice it's not quite right, there is a chance that running some cleaner in your fuel can help. If your motor doesn't run well enough to to allow you to run a couple of tank fulls of gas/cleaner through it, then you need to clean the carb/s manually.
