so this is my new Motor a 30 Hp Nissan im looking for some help and ideas.

1 - i need a kill switch, well it has a shut off but i want and am looking for one of the ones that go around your wrist

2 - im looking for some kind of trim system that is not going to cost me a million buck cuz what is on it now is not cutting it for me i have to remove this STUPID ! little rod each time i need to adjust the trim NOT OK for doing tournaments and having to be fast

any helpful tips or ideas would be much appreciated

if you look you can see the wholes that i have to use to adjust the trim each time ( witch SUCKS ! ! ) ](*,)

Does changing that trim really help that much with speed? If so, how much?

All I can think of is to try and find a hydraulic tilt/trim for it which would probably be $300+

I guess some yamaha's have a spring assist which the owners say they like.

Gonna have to agree with earl on the trim thing.

The pin adjustment is more of a "set it and forget it" type of thing.

Get it set so it runs the best with your typical load and leave it alone, or your going to drop that pin in the drink and be bummed..

it is not so much the speed that i am worried about but i bass fish like Hard core ! and i get into so really shallow water and i really dont like having to reach and pull the entire motor up each time and then put it down it is a pain in the butt

what do you think about the kill switch ? ?

That motor will have a shallow water running position. No need to move the pin. You do have to lift the motor. It also will have a position to hold the motor out of the water, which you seem to be using. Not many motors in this size, will have power tilt and trim.

As far as kill switch, thought that would have the lanyard style. maybe someone replaced it? Should be able to get one from a Nissan/Tohatsu dealer if you couldn't find an aftermarket one.

If you already have a stop button, you can replace it with one of these lanyard switches...

If you want to add power/tilt and trim, you could look into something like this:
