I checked with my handy Garmin GPS one day to see how fast the boat moved, got 16 mph top speed, i thought that was pretty good for a motor that is 2 years older than me!
At the time, it was my wife and I in my boat, no fishing gear.
The boat is an aluminum 1950's Elgin, and was completely stripped out at the time
Does that sound about right to you guys?
