so i found this old johnson in my grandfathers shed (also an old sears motor but thats next) and he claims the only thing wrong with it is that the fuel fitting(?) leaks. I was wondering if these fittings can be found still or am i gunna have to convert the motor to use a fuel pump. And i do have the original tank and it looks fine. Thanks for the help.

Thats probably not the fitting that is leaking. Usually it is the female fitting. Inside the female fitting are O-Rings that are probably dry and cracked. These O-Rings can be easily replaced and are readily available.
On your tank - all gaskets and diaphragms are still available as well. the only thing that is not available are the small seals that fit on each of the 8 hold down screws for the black tank top. Those can be sourced from any good hardware store.
