I have a 5hp evinrude 4 stroke and after runnIng fast for a while it looses power, smokes badly and oil leaks out the exaust port above the water. Can anyone help me?

It sounds like the engine is overheating. Is there water coming out of the pee port? If there is no water look for a plugged up water pump intake or a bad pump impeller you might want to check the thermostat also.

There is a very strong stream of cold wayer coming out of the engine. What should i check about the thermoset?
