Please help identifying my motor

Hello all,


I need some help here. I can not find anything on this motor.The serial number is A113193. And near the propeller this are numbers 56652. Its a mercury 9.8. Thanks everyone.

I have never understood Mercs serial number decoding but I can tell you that it is pre 1986 due to it being a 9.8. In 1986 it bacame the 9.9.

I can give you my best guess and that is 1980-81

Is there any chance that motor is from somewhere other than the United States? I can't match those numbers up to anything sold in the U.S. But looking at the cowling/decals, I'd say it's an early 80's motor.

Thanks guys. See thats what I have beenscratching my head at. I can find NOTHING on this motor at all. I guess it could be from outside the U.S. IDK.
