Am trying to go fishing on the cheap......I picked up this engine for $50., checked it out pretty much, put in fresh fuel and a new plug. It will run 5 to 10 seconds then it seems to burp and then quit. The longest it has run was about 30 seconds. I did get a manual for this motor(engine), and set the carburetor where it said to but all I get is what I just laid out.
Any suggestions? It has a gas tank on top and hook up for an external tank, which came with it; but I don't think lack of fuel is the issue.
Maybe someone out here has more knowledge than I. This is a great site for boating info if you are asking me.
