Was wondering if the steering controls for a 35 mercury would swap to a 40 evenrude. I hate to be vague but the mercury is an 85 model. Don't know about the evenrude yet. Father-in-law found the evenrude for $150 not sure about the condition yet. This would replace the mercury which has low compression on one cylinder.
